The Dining room of camps such as mundesley was the hub of camp life. It was here that your team for the week was selected and where all announcements and results were made. The scoreboard on the wall showed the state of the weeks competition and in proud place on the wall was the saints and sinners shield (if anybody has a picture of the shield I would love to have a copy). The staff would all be present and this made for an atmosphere of one large family.

The camp provided three meals a day and in the 70's a seperate Tea was available for the children.

Meal Times were signalled by the Bell and lateness for meals could result in team points deduction and Forfeits .

The King and Queen of the week would be required to parade into the hall complete with Crowns and many efforts were made by opposing teams to ensure that crowns and sashes were spirited away to ensure a further forfeit for the underdressed member of the royalty.

Meal times as was the tradition at the time were a family get together and many of the pictures that I have been sent are based in the dining hall and reflect this feeling.
